ABJ Face 2 Face

Maria Rodale, CEO and Chairman of Rodale Inc., will be the Austin Business Journal’s guest speaker at its Tuesday, Dec. 6 Face 2 Face industry leader discussion, 8:30 to 10 am at Whole Foods Market, 525 North Lamar Boulevard. Personal anecdotes, stories from the boardroom and opinions on today’s ever-changing business environment are tackled in a fireside chat format with ABJ Editor Colin Pope.

“Cooking up trouble, dishing out advice, cyber poet and CEO of Rodale Inc.” – that’s Maria Rodale’s brief bio from Twitter. What that feisty bio doesn’t tell you is that her grandfather started Rodale, Inc. more than 70 years ago to inspire people to live healthier lives. Today, Rodale, Inc. is the largest, independent publisher in the United States.

They are 47 percent of the U.S. labor force, and 59 percent of the college-educated, entry-level workforce.
